About me

I am currently a floor reporter and bill track researcher at CQ Roll Call.

I graduated from American University in May 2023 where I studied Journalism and Political Science.

While at American, I was the Editor-in-Chief of The Eagle, AU’s award-winning student-run newspaper. I managed and oversaw the operations of 130 staff members across the News, Life, Sports, Opinion, Online, Copy, Multimedia and Spanish teams. Before that, I was Managing Editor for News, Administration and Local News Editor, Online Managing Editor and a News Reporter. I led the paper to receive the College Media Association’s Apple Award for Best Newspaper in 2023, in addition to several other national and local awards. As an editor, I oversaw major investigations exposing the university’s non-compliance with federal Title IX laws and my university’s distribution of counterfeit KN95 masks during the coronavirus pandemic, a story that received national attention.

As a reporter, I covered everything from local news to the university administration. My reporting on access to Narcan on campus won first place for in-depth reporting at the Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Awards for Region 2 in 2022.

I’ve previously interned at Current where I covered all things public media as well as for the Durango Herald, where I covered the Colorado Congressional Delegation and federal issues relating to Southwest Colorado.
